We are a local chapter of the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC). We advocate for better biking infrastructure and we work to grow the biking community in Sunnyvale.

Recent Advocacy Wins:
Organized community support for a bike/pedestrian undercrossing where Sunnyvale Ave intersects the Caltrain tracks. As a result, city council unanimously voted for this improvement on 09/27/22.
Doubled the required minimum Class I long-term bicycle parking requirements for residential buildings along El Camino Real.
Road Diet on Java Dr, resulting in 1 mile of buffered bike lanes (coming early 2023)
Convinced Sunnyvale City Council to install buffered bike lanes on Sunnyvale Ave (coming June 2023)
Persuaded the City to install a temporary lane closure pathway (1/4 mi) on Tasman Dr and study making it permanent
Made "Active Transportation" a city priority
Strengthened Sunnyvale's Active Transportation Plan
Fixed +430 bikes at our Free Bike Repair events (as of Sept 2022)
